Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP)

Avoid an unexpected gap in your finances in the event of a total vehicle loss.

Here’s an example to show you how it works:

Let’s say your vehicle is totaled in an accident. You still owe $25,000 on your loan, but your insurance only pays you the current value less your deductible, which comes to $20,000.

What you owe:$25,000

Actual cash value of vehicle:

$21,000

Less your insurance deductible:

$1,000

Insurance company pays you:

$20,000

This leaves you with an outstanding debt of:

$5,000

This GAP payment example is for illustration purposes only. You can either ask your dealer, refer to your Ally GAP agreement or look at your primary insurance policy for complete details of what will or won’t be protected in the event of a total loss.

Tire Protection Plan

Get protection where the rubber meets the road. All plans include an allowance for flat tire emergency road service and are available for up to 72 months. No deductible applies. Keep in mind, not all plan features are available in every province.

Roll on with essential tire protection that features:

  • Replacement with an exact make and model or comparable if repairs can’t be made

Tire and Wheel

Get critical protection that includes:

  • Everything included in the Tire plan

  • Alloy wheel repair or replacement

This plan helps protects you with features that include:

  • Everything included in the Tire and Wheel plan

  • Repair or replacement of chrome wheels if damaged from a protected road hazard

Tire, Wheel, and Cosmetic

This key package features:

  • Everything included in the Tire and Wheel plan

  • Repair or replacement of alloy wheels if damaged from a protected road hazard (protection doesn’t apply to chrome wheels)

  • Repair of cosmetic damage to alloy wheels (non-chrome) from a protected road hazard

Appearance and Corrosion Protection

With this plan you can enjoy a vehicle that looks new — both inside and out — despite exposure to the elements.

Appearance

Keep shining with a long-term ceramic protective coating applied to your vehicle's exterior finish, providing enhanced protection against the environmental elements. Also included in this package:

  • Interior carpet, fabric, vinyl, and leather surfaces

  • Headlight lenses

  • Alloy wheels

  • Black/trim molding

  • Limited warranties of 5 years on used vehicles and 10 years on new vehicles, with a maximum of one repair for each damaged area

Appearance and Corrosion

This plan features:

  • Everything included in the Appearance plan

  • Corrosion protection on all painted surfaces

  • Protection against corrosion damage to your vehicle's floor pan and surface rust larger than 2 cm

It’s a cost-effective solution that offers protection for vehicle breakdowns and provides other services after the expiration of your manufacturer’s warranty. It pays the cost of protected vehicle repairs and may include additional benefits such as towing, roadside assistance, a rental car and trip interruption.

A vehicle manufacturer's warranty protects you against defects in material and workmanship of your vehicle for a specified period of time or kilometres. An Ally Premier Protection Plan offers additional protection beyond the manufacturer's warranty period and extends your protection for the specific time and kilometre duration you select according to your needs.

Most cars, light-duty trucks, SUVs, and crossovers. Your vehicle’s age and kilometres driven help determine the products for which your vehicle is eligible. Yes. Talk with your authorized dealer for options based on your specific vehicle.

Yes. Most vehicle financing institutions will allow the price of the Ally Premier suite of products to be included in your monthly payment. Please see your financing institution for details, limitations, and exclusions.

If we think it necessary, you must allow us to inspect your vehicle and provide us with any other information we may reasonably require, including documentation of your vehicle’s regular maintenance according to the service and maintenance schedule published by the vehicle manufacturer. We recommend having all your maintenance and service performed by your selling dealer.

Contact your selling dealer or call us at 1-833-414-4943 to initiate a cancellation or termination request. If you cancel within 60 days and haven't filed any claims, you can receive a full refund, less an administration fee ($100 plus GST/HST and any applicable provincial taxes). If you’ve made a claim, or if it's after 60 days, you can terminate your plan and receive a prorated refund of the purchase price, less a $100 administration fee (plus GST/HST and any applicable taxes). The proration will be based on the lesser of days or kilometres of protection remaining. Please refer to the cancellation terms of your Ally Premier Protection Plan agreement.

It is recommended that you return to the dealership from which you purchased the protection. However, you can choose any licensed repair facility in Canada or the United States.

Yes. You can transfer it to the next retail owner without any transfer fee.

The Tire, Wheel, and Chrome plan provides protection for repairing or replacing your chrome wheels if they’re damaged by a protected road hazard. The Tire, Wheel, and Cosmetic plan provides protection for repairing or replacing your alloy wheels only and includes cosmetic repairs in the event of damage by a protected road hazard.
